For nearly six years (2011-2016), Kourtney strategized and implemented dynamic publicity plans for 50+ non-fiction titles annually through national media campaigns, social media, and industry/author events, which led to the company’s third biggest year for sales in 2016.

Highlights include:

  • Securing placement for Ulysses Press on Publishers Weekly’s  annual list of 10 Fastest Growing Independent Publishers in 2012 and 2013 as well as landing media opportunities for executives and editors in trend features on cookbooks, coloring, health and wellness, photography, etc.
  • Pursuing non-traditional publicity opportunities, including procuring placements on TV shows and movies (Netflix’s Orange is the New Black and Chelsea, CBS’s Elementary, 2016 film A Monster Calls, Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer and Not Safe with Nikki Glaser), and securing placement for selected new releases in both the Emmy and Academy Award swag bags from 2013-2016.
